The smaller Gschwandtkopf mountain, situated to the south-west of Seefeld is perfect for beginners looking to learn the basics. There is a great nursery slope in the centre of the village on the Geigenbühel hill and 2 chair lifts service the mountain which has predominantly blue runs.

Entertainment
Good après-ski can be found throughout the village. Tea-time festivities take place at the the Alt Seefeld Restaurant, or at Tenne in the Kaltschmid. Head to the Pirate Club for dancing or try the new “Wildfang”-Bar for a glass of champagne or a cocktail. Stop in the Beisl Pub for beers or a good glass of wine. The Siglu serves libations. At night head back to the Kanne or the Buffalo Westersaloon or Fun Disco Jeep. Seefeld also has a casino.
Gourmet & nightlife
The Seefeld Olympia Region boasts countless restaurants and eateries, catering for all tastes and budgets. The Ritter Oswald Stube is a cosy dining room in the elegant yet rustic atmosphere of the à la carte restaurant of the Hotel Klosterbräu in the centre of Seefeld. The restaurant has been honoured in the past by various gourmet magazines for its especially high cooking performance. Or you can try the award winning restaurant in the Gourmethotel Habhof in the village of Mösern. For a change from Tyrolean dishes, the Asia on Münchnerstrasse in Seefeld serves fresh Chinese specialities. Beginners
The Geigenbühel area near the centre of Seefeld village is an ideal area for beginners. Snowboarders will also love learning here. The slopes are gentle and forgiving, and the ski instructors are excellent and fluent in English. Progressing beginners can move on the easy blue descents of the Gschwandtkopf or the Rosshütte.
Intermediates
The Sportabfahrt, one of the most popular runs in Seefeld, features a winding red piste that is blessed with panoramic, beautiful views. The Kaltwasser draglift provides access to a steep red run, popular with local racing clubs.
Experts
A more demanding red piste on the Härmelekopf side of the Rosshütte ski area is one of Seefeld's harder runs. Skiing on the glacier Zugspitz, Germany's highest mountain, offers a few red pistes and one black run. Offering excellent challenges for skiers and snowboarders, the glacier is around an hour away from Seefeld.
Snowboarders
This is the place to learn how to snowboard. If you are looking for Funparks and you want to practice jumps, then you have to be in the area around Rosshütte. There is a funpark and a halfpipe. Boarders who really want to go to the extreme need to be in Mittenwald, and in the the Karwendel descent of the Zugspitze.
The Seefeld ski school offers all-day childcare for children from 18 months-8 years. 'Gizzi's Children's Club' is a non-skiing kindergarten/nursery. Located at the Geigenbühel, children will be entertained with indoor and outdoor play.
