Located on a terrace facing the Lagorai chain in the heart of Val di Fiemme, Teserois an important winter and summer tourist center. It is actually very close to Centro del Fondo di Lago di Tesero (Tesero Lake Cross-country ski center), where many international competitions have been held in the past and which will host the Nordic Ski World Championship in 2011. Tesero is also close to the huge Ski Center Latemar featuring 40 km of ski-runs, which wind down from the Pampeago Alpine Peak (1757 meters) and up to Predazzo and Obereggen.
Tesero has always been the artistic and cultural center of the Val di Fiemme valley, with its churches, capitals, sundials and frescoes decorating its age-old, traditional-style houses.
