Gourmet

For an authentic Ladin meal, head off to the Stua Catores in Ortisei. The food is hearty and the atmosphere rustic and unpretentious.Another typical Ladin restaurant is Tubladel.On the Sella Ronda try lunch at the Sellajoch right at the Sella pass.

Nightlife

There is a collection of good bars with some local music, and several small discos crank up late at night. In Ortisei, try Saviso and Siglu Bar in the Hotel Adler which often have an early crowd. Later head to Mauriz.In S. Cristina, try Crazy Pub, which starts cranking about when the lifts close.

 
 
 

Beginners

In Selva novices will enjoy excellent gentle nursery slopes on both sides of the valley. After a few days the long well groomed runs at Col Raiser can be enjoyed.

Intermediates

The region features unsurpassed skiing for intermediates both in the immediate area and with the link on to the Sella Ronda. With over 175kms of skiing in the Val Gardena intermediates have an enormous range of pistes to choose from.

Experts

Val Gardena is part of the Dolomiti Superski area which covers 464 lifts and 1,220kms of pistes, many of which are interlinked. Ski the Men's World Cup course in S. Cristina at full tilt or try, with a guide, the amazing Val Mezdi' off-piste route down to Colfosco or the incredible Pordoi Gulley.

Snowboarders

This area has something up its sleeve for everyone. Freeriders should check out the windlips, natural banks and trees that areas like Pordoi have to offer. Freestylers will not be disappointed by the boardpark at Selva. This is also a beginners heaven, the runs above Ortisei are ideal for first timers. 

 
 
 
 

Skiing, sliping, walking, playing in the snow,... Val Gardena and its countryside is one big adventure playground for the kids. At all events, boredom is not on the programme in Val Gardena. In addition to all those natural playgrounds, there is a complete infrastructure developed with children in mind. And we also do our best to ensure the kids have fun, with plenty of variety and entertainment – in short a holiday they are not likely to forget in a hurry.
